A lifelong Indigenous Rights slave laborer and upsetter of status quo applecarts. It's a natural gift; nothing I've ever worked to become. In the ITI way, it is improper to talk about oneself, so it is difficult for me to write this in a humble way. Raised by my Elders, who taught me to "learn everything you can about everything you can so you'll never be broke and you'll never be homeless", I've been told my resume' is 'impressive to the point of intimidating'. Bigots have called me a liar, stating that, "everyone" knows there's no such thing as an Indn, let alone a female Indn, with such a variety and depth of qualifications as you claim". So much for the Army's ads "be all you can be".. Takoszja, it's only bragging if you haven't been there or done that; if I say I have done a thing, I have. People who know me urge me to write a book about what I've done, but until someone crosses my palm with PteDhoWakan (Holy Green Buffalo, money) it isn't likely to happen since, like the rest of the world, I too have bills and goals and like many, I'll never get everything done before I go back to the Spirit World. I've been a whiz kid since childhood, and though I've now reached grandmother status, I'm still a whiz kid. My Four Favorite Questions are: Why? Why not? What's "really" going on here? Who or What is thinking for you in this matter? Some sage once observed that there are 3 kinds of people: Those who make things happen; those who watch things happen; and those who wonder what happened. I try to be in at least the first 2 groups at any time, because I believe that gives me an advantage to accomplish my goals. The result is that I've been categorized as "dangerous!, because she knows everything, and she's smart!" Jeeh, I hope so, even while I know it's not true. No one knows everything about anything, and if I did, I'd have to be god, and I don't want the job. Everyone would be praying to me, then, telling me that things aren't perfect and I need to fix this or that.... But I have no qualms about upsetting status quo applecarts if it means improving things for more of us who share the bounty of our Holy Mother, the Earth. In the Lakota Way, every species is part of some Nation. None of us is more important than the others, although Two-Leggeds (humans) have more destructive potential..
